Natalie Uptain, a fourth generation Arizona native, is 24 and
who comes from Queen Creek at her family's ranch, along with her
horses, dogs and her parents, Cliff and Nancy. Pursuing a degree
in History Secondary Education with a minor in World War I history,
Natalie is residing in Flagstaff, where she is currently a senior
at Northern Arizona University. She has been accepted into the
College of Education and hopes to graduate next spring.
A current member of the AQHA, Friends of Rodeo ,Gilbert and the
Scottsdale Jaycees, She has always been active in the equestrian
world, winning buckles and prizes in barrel racing, pole bending,
and team penning. She has held the titles of Gilbert Day Rodeo
Queen 2003, Cave Creek Fiesta Days Attendant 2004, Flagstaff Pine
Country Pro Rodeo Queen 2005, and Honorary Gila County Rodeo Queen
2005, 2007 Parada Del Sol Rodeo Queen, Miss Rodeo Arizona 2007
Speech/Modeling/Extemporaneous Winner and 2nd- Runner-up. She
is currently Desert Thunder Pro Rodeo Queen for 2008. Natalie
has judges numerous queen pageants and is apart of the Gila County
(Globe), Flagstaff, Parada del Sol Pro Rodeo Committees. Volunteering
in her community, Natalie has been a part of the "REAch" Program
which promotes rodeo and the importance of self respect in Arizona
schools. On here spare time ,she loves assisting rodeo committees
with organizing their rodeos, as well as coaching rodeo queens,
riding, fishing, ATC riding, dancing and reading. Natalie's Goal
is to become a role model for our youth today.
